A graduate of the School of Physical Education and Sports in Marmara University, Fatih Özmen started his sailing career in Istanbul Sailing Club in Summer 1990. Thanks to his achievements and medals in various classes, he was admitted to the national team. Having been trained by the most successful trainers in the world, Mr. Özmen worked as a trainer in National Olympic Team in 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
He worked at Turkish Sailing Federation Training Committee at various times since 2001. He lead many training courses and seminars for managers and trainers. He opened the fourth largest sailing school in Turkey. Owing to his success in “ICDC-International Camp Director Course” organized prior to International Camping Congress in Sydney-Australia in 2014, he was promoted to “International Camp Director” status and he was awarded with “Outstanding Achievement Award in Sports” by the Prime Ministry General Directorate of Youth and Sports and “Trainer of the Year Award” by Turkish Sailing Federation in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Mr. Özmen is the General Secretary of Turkish Camping Association.
Necdet Gürsel began his sailing career during his early childhood in Samsun Sailing Club. Following his numerous achievements in Optimist class, he was promoted to the National Team. Afterwards he was transferred to Istanbul Sailing Club. There he advanced his career as an Olympic athlete under the supervision of Dr. Malte Philipp, the head coach in the German Sailing Federation, who came to Turkey in 2000. In 2003, following his athlete career, he was hired as Team A trainer at Istanbul Sailing Club. Thanks to the degrees of athletes trained by him and his impressive career in national team, he continued to work as a laser class trainer in 2008.
His athletes won Laser 4.7 European Championship, Laser Radial Women European Youth Championship and Laser 4.7 Europe Cup Youth Championship in 2012. Thanks to his winner athletes in three different categories by clubs and by trainers, he is one of those rare trainers who achieved this precious success in different classes.
Having completed his graduate degree in Guidance and Counselling Department in Educational Sciences Faculty in Marmara University in 1992, Mr, Cengiz Karagözoğlu launched his career as an academic lecturer in Physical Education and Sports Higher School in Marmara University in 1994. He served as the psychological counsellor in Turkish Tennis Women’s National Team (1996-1997), Turkey Handball Women’s National Team (2001-2004) and Shooting and Marksmanship National Teams (2003-2012). The author of three published works in sports psychology field, Mr. Karagözoğlu has nearly 50 scientific researches. Having served in many Olympic and international committees so far, Mr. Karagözoğlu currently lectures courses in Sport sciences Faculty Marmara University about sports psychology and research field.
Mr. Burak Emanet got training education in Sport Sciences Faculty in Marmara university and he is a specialist in sport injuries, performance development in sedentary and elite athletes, mobility exercises, functional training and exercises depending on body type. He is also certified by UKSCA Conditioning Body, 1st Level Bodybuilding and Fitness Certificate and many other international certificates and training courses.
Having completed her graduation degree in Nutrition and Dietetics Department in Health Sciences Faculty, Kırklareli University followed by master’s degree in Sport Health Sciences, Healthcare Sciences Institute in Marmara University, Ms. Tezcan launched her career as a sports dietician following her dietician education in Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Hospital and Trakya University School of Medicine. Mr. Tezcan has attended many panels and published many studies about sports dietician.
